Automated Code Review for GitHub: Setup and Workflow. Here's the short version.

GitHub is where your code lives — automated review should meet it there. This guide walks through running CodeInspector scans on GitHub repositories.

Scan a public repository. Sign in to CodeInspector with Google. Results appear when the scan completes — open findings in the Explorer to navigate source context.

Connect GitHub for private repos. Open Settings and connect GitHub through the git provider OAuth flow. If connection fails after deployment updates, reconnect from Settings to refresh your token.

Working with findings. Triage by severity: address critical security signals and high-complexity hotspots first. Browse the rules catalog to see which checks ran during the scan.

Want to find these issues in your own code? Connect your GitHub repository to CodeInspector. You'll get findings with the file, line, severity, and a recommended fix, plus HTML and PDF reports for your team. Start free at codeinspector.app.
