Date Format Converter

Translate date format patterns between Python strftime, Java, C#/.NET, JavaScript (dayjs) and PHP. Free and private: runs in your browser.

Paste a format pattern to convert it, or leave it empty for a side-by-side token reference.

Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste is uploaded or stored.

Use cases

  • Debug timestamps in logs and API payloads.
  • Schedule meetings and releases across time zones.
  • Check date handling in code before it ships.

Frequently asked questions

Why does "yyyy-mm-dd" give the wrong month in Java?

In Java and C#, lowercase mm means minutes. Month is uppercase MM.

Is the Date Format Converter free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up, and it runs entirely in your browser, so your input is never uploaded or stored.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes. Conversions use your browser's time zone database (IANA), which applies daylight saving rules for the date you enter.
